What can I donate?

We will accept the following merchandise, in good condition, by appointment or scheduled pick up. Please call the ReStore if your item is not on this list but may be one that we could use. All donations subject to space availability. The ReStore Manager has the discretion to refuse any item that may not be in saleable condition. 

Appliance:  In good working order. Washing machines & dishwashers that have not been on well water.

Architectural:  Columns, antiques, windows, mantelpieces, etc.  

Cabinets:  Individual pieces or full sets, kitchen or bathroom.  Must have all doors and drawers.

Countertops:   Minimal chips or water damage  

Flooring:  Useable quantities only

  • Carpet – no visible wear and tear, and no stains or odors  
  • Hardwood/parquet flooring- Must be free of rot.  
  • Vinyl tile, sheet vinyl and linoleum- new only  
  • Ceramic tile – new only

 Doors:

  • Pre-hung or door slabs
  • Exterior or interior- No rot, cracks or missing panes
  • Entryway units
  • Sliding glass- must have all tracking, no cracked or foggy glass

Electrical:  Must be in useable condition.

Hardware:  Complete sets of door hardware, hinges, etc.  Any quantity of nails, screws, etc.  No rust.  

Plumbing:

  • Sinks-  All types of kitchen and bathroom sinks (no rust) 
  • Shower enclosure- All components 
  • Faucets- unused, still in the box only. 
  • Miscellaneous plumbing hardware 
  • Toilet- Very clean and in good working condition, white only & not on well water.
  • NO Hot water heaters

Lumber:

  • Dimensional- 4 ft. lengths or longer, treated or untreated 
  • Sheet goods- 1/2 sheets or larger of particle board, pressboard plywood, paneling, etc.  
  • Trim and molding- 4 ft. lengths or longer 

Lighting:  Complete and in working order. No fluorescent bulbs or fixtures.

Storm Doors:  Complete, with all screens, and tracking or framing 

Windows:

  • Double hung –  complete units with all sashes, no rot or cracks
  • Casement –  thermal pane only, no single pane
  • Metal and wood screens 

Roofing Materials:  New shingles, rolls of roofing material 

Gutters:  Full pieces with no rust or damage

Drywall:  Full or half sheets 

Vents:  (Clean) – Floor, Ceiling, Return 

Miscellaneous:

  • Shutters (interior and exterior)
  • Hand and Power Tools
  • Wood furniture
  • Ceiling fans (complete)
  • New insulation
  • Framed mirrors
  • Household  items
  • Pipe/PVC/metal/copper – 4 ft. lengths or longer 
  • Yard tools (no electric)
  • Lawn mowers & snow blowers

Items we do not take: paint, stain, chemicals of any kind, appliances or toilets on well water. Fabric furnishings with tears, stains, or from homes with pets or smokers. Televisions and computers. All donations must be in good, gently used condition.
