Marquette County Habitat for Humanity to Host Inaugural Veterans Build

MARQUETTE, MI — September 2026 — Marquette County Habitat for Humanity (MCHFH) is proud to host its Inaugural Veterans Build on Monday, October 12, 2026, bringing veterans and community volunteers together for a day of service, camaraderie, and helping build safe, affordable housing for local families.

The Veterans Build will take place at McClellan Meadows in Marquette, with volunteer opportunities from 8:30 am to  4 p.m. Veterans from all military branches and backgrounds are invited to participate, as are community members who would like to join in.

The event offers veterans an opportunity to connect and continue the spirit of service through hands-on volunteer work, with no construction experience required—MCHFH provides the tools, training, and guidance. Participants will enjoy a complimentary barbecue lunch provided by Lofaro’s, live lunchtime music by Finding Feathers, and coffee generously donated by Campfire Coffee. Veterans, their families, friends, and community members are encouraged to participate in helping MCHFH build homes and strengthen communities throughout Marquette County.
