Job Description: Marquette County Habitat for Humanity ReStore is seeking a motivated individual to assist the ReStore Director will most facets of the day-to-day operations of our busy store. The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic, customer friendly, self-motivated and organized. The Assistant Manager will learn every position in the store, starting with donation procurement and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling both donation pickups and customer deliveries
- Assist with marketing and social media management
- Provide support to the ReStore Director in the management of day-to-day store operations
- Support with coordination of store layout and merchandising
- Lead and train staff on proper pricing structures
- Provide onsite supervision of staff and volunteers
- Ensure a safe environment for staff, shoppers, donors, and volunteers
- Train staff on various work functions, processes and customer service
- Engage customers and provide excellent customer service
- Assist with the selection and onboarding of new staff
- Meet or exceed budgeted sales goals, while seeking ways to reduce operating expenses
- Supervise daily product flow, ensuring donations are handled with care and efficiency
- Maintain store cleanliness and assist with exterior maintenance
- Support all MCHFH and ReStore policies fairly
- Handle customer complaints when necessary
Requirements:

- Creative self-starter with ability to work both independently and with other staff and volunteers
- Ability to provide direction to other staff and volunteers
- Physical ability to complete work on the job site or in the store/warehouse, even during inclement weather
- Safely moving and handling furniture and appliances weighing 50 lbs or more using dollies and other provided equipment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook
- Retail merchandising or other décor/design experience preferred
- At least two years of experience in retail, resale, or hospitality industries preferred but willing to train the right candidate
Pre-Employment Screenings:
Prior to being hired, applicants are required to pass a DOT physical which includes a drug/alcohol screening, a criminal background check, and a review of the candidate’s driving history
Time Requirements: Full-time, including regular availability for Saturday hours
Reports to: ReStore Director
