Marquette County Habitat for Humanity Celebrates with Annual Women Build Event

Posted on

Marquette, MI – July 29, 2025 – Marquette County Habitat for Humanity is proud to host its annual Women Build event from Thursday, August 14 through Saturday, August 16, 2025. This empowering event promotes gender equity and inclusion in construction and other skilled trades, and this year embraces the theme: “Moving Forward Together: Women Educating and Inspiring Generations.”

Women Build, sponsored by Zonta Club of the Marquette Area, provides an opportunity for individuals to come together to learn new skills, build confidence, and support safe, affordable housing for families in need. All genders and gender expressions are welcome—no prior construction experience is required. Participation is free and the first 15 volunteers to sign up will receive a free Women Build t-shirt.

Volunteers will contribute directly to the construction of Habitat homes working alongside other members of the local community. Each day includes lunch and a guest speaker who will share stories of leadership, resilience, and the power of creating opportunities where everyone can thrive and lead—regardless of gender.

Join us as we move forward together—empowering women, building homes, and inspiring the next generation.
