Shop at Marquette County Habitat for Humanity ReStore in April to Support Equitable Access to Affordable Homeownership in Marquette County, MI

Throughout April, shoppers can support Habitat for Humanity’s national “Home is the Key” campaign and help unlock opportunities for better futures.

Marquette, MI (April 1, 2025) – For many people across the U.S., access to an affordable home remains out of reach. In Marquette County, MI, housing affordability continues to be a significant challenge, with rising home prices and limited housing stock making it difficult for many families to find safe and stable housing.

Marquette County Habitat for Humanity (MCHFH) believes that a safe and affordable home has the power to transform the lives of families and is the cornerstone of strong communities. This April, MCHFH is joining Home is the Key, Habitat for Humanity’s national awareness and fundraising campaign, to highlight the urgent need for equitable access to affordable housing in Marquette County and across the U.S.

Throughout April, shoppers at the Marquette County Habitat for Humanity ReStore can contribute to this important cause. A portion of all ReStore sales will directly support MCHFH’s mission to build and repair homes for families in need. Shoppers can find great deals on furniture, appliances, home goods, and building materials, all while making a difference in their community. Additionally, community members are encouraged to donate gently used items to the ReStore, helping further support affordable homeownership initiatives.

“A safe and stable home is the foundation for a brighter future. At Marquette County Habitat for Humanity, we see firsthand how affordable homeownership empowers families, strengthens our community, and provides children with the stability they need to thrive,” said Deanna Johnson, MCHFH Executive Director. “Through the Home is the Key campaign, we invite our neighbors to join us in unlocking opportunities for families in need. Together, we can make homeownership accessible to more people and create lasting change.”
