MARQUETTE, Mich. — November 24, 2025 — This GivingTuesday, Marquette County Habitat for Humanity (MCHFH) invites the community to come together to “Help Keep Our Neighbors Warm.” The organization has set a goal to raise $5,000 to assist with emergency furnace replacements for local homeowners in need.
When a furnace fails in the middle of a U.P. winter, it’s not just an inconvenience—it’s a crisis. Through its Home Repairs Program, MCHFH works to ensure families have safe, reliable heat during the coldest months of the year. Each furnace replacement typically costs between $5,000 and $6,000, making community support essential for MCHFH to address urgent needs as funding becomes available.
“We see firsthand how devastating a heating emergency can be for families living on a limited income,” said Henry Morley, Ramps and Repairs Programs Manager of Marquette County Habitat for Humanity. “Every donation this GivingTuesday strengthens our ability to respond when a furnace fails and helps keep our neighbors safe and warm through the winter.”
GivingTuesday, celebrated on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, is a global day of generosity that encourages individuals and organizations to give back to their communities. All funds raised will directly support MCHFH’s efforts to meet heating emergencies across Marquette County.
