Each year since 1984, former President Carter and his wife, Rosalynn, give a week of their time to help us improve and build homes. The Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project helps raise awareness for the critical need for simple, decent and affordable housing. The event attracts volunteers from around the world.
This year, the servant spirit of President and Mrs. Carter shines ever bright, highlighting their namesake project for the 30th consecutive year. The 2013 Carter Work Project will be held in October and hosted in Oakland and San Jose, Calif.; Denver, Colo.; and New York City.
